While we won’t engage in a debate over The Black Album, we will say this: it’s better than seeing them perform songs off of Lulu. With that said, some fans (namely the ones who hate anything Metallica did after …And Justice For All) may not find Metallica performing this album remotely interesting. The Black Album, which just turned 20 years old this past Summer, without a doubt made Metallica into household names, having been certified 15x platinum and is the best-selling album of the SoundScan era. It’s unclear, though, if Metallica will perform The Black Album in its entirety at any other performances. ![]() Who knows, maybe in another six years, Metallica will come back and perform Reload. This somewhat continues a theme for Metallica, since the last time they headlined the UK festival in 2006, they performed Master Of Puppets in its entirety. ![]() According to NME, not only has Metallica been confirmed to headline the Download Festival this coming Summer, but they’re also reportedly set to perform The Black Album in its entirety.
